If the dhcp server provides a long nis domain depends if it still fits into the bootp packet or not. For me, it works fine: server # grep -E -v '^#' /etc/dhcpd.conf client # bootptest -h 172.16.2.200 bootptest: version 2.4.3 Sending to 172.16.2.200 (request) xid:20855 vend-rfc1395 Recvd from 172.16.2.200 (reply) xid:20855 Y:172.16.2.1 S:172.16.2.200 file:"boot.xcf" vend-rfc1395 SM:255.255.255.0 HN:"xanthos" ROOT:"/x" NISDOM:"nis123456789.z123456789.example.net" client # echo -n "nis123456789.z123456789.example.net" | wc -c 35 Please try out next update packages, there is a fix for packet parsing; alternatively try out the RPMs from http://www.suse.de/~mt/dhcp/. When it still exists, please report upstream. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
