https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=471760 Summary: kmail does not read kmailrc correctly and mangles kmailrc on closing Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: Stromeko@NexGo.DE QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-1.1 Firefox/3.0.5 If you use POPfilters and set the option "Always show matched ’Download Later’ messages", kmail writes the following line into kmailrc: popshowDLmsgs=true However it cannot read this option back, completely destroys the window geometry setup on the next startup and reverts kmailrc to: popshowDLmsgs=false The only way to get the intended behaviour is to manually change that line to: popshowDLmsgs=1 However, the (working, but syntactically wrong) "1" will be reverted to (the non-working, but syntactically correct) "true" upon closing kmail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start kmail and set up a nice window geometry different from standard. 2. Set option "Always show matched ’Download Later’ messages" in POP filter dialog. 3. Close kmail an check kmailrc for popshowDLmsgs 4. Start kmail again, notice window geometry, change it to something sensible again, close kmail. 5. Check kmailrc again for popshowDLmsgs, change it to "=1". 6. Start kmail again, notice that window geometry is remembered from last time and the option in POP filter dialog is still set. Close kmail again. 7. Check kmailrc again for popshowDLmsgs and weep. Actual Results: see details. Expected Results: kmail should read and write its options in the same format (it's likely the read that is wrong). Also I don't suppose, it should ignore unrelated options from its config file if there is a single error in the config. This is kmail 1.11, but I've had this behaviour already with 1.10 (but didn't track it down to it's source at the time). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
