[Bug 471474] System sounds but no sound from audio devices after each 11.1 boot

I tried to play ogg files with Kaffeine and to stream radio stations with
Mozilla. In both cases the interfaces showed that data was being transmitted
but there was no sound until I entered rcalsasound restart and then restarted
the relevant program after which everything behaved normally.
I don't have any wav files.
