Do you mean running alsa-info.sh after suspend makes the sound working again? Then it's weird. alsa-info.sh calls amixer, alsactl and reads proc files. These all don't change the mixer setting at all. Actually, the suspend makes the sound system once muted (or uninitialized). The codec registers are restored again once when a sound device is accessed. So, until something you hear or touching a mixer, the sound is kept uninitialized. The question is rather how you tested the sound after suspend.
