https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=469229 Summary: [openSUSE:Tools/obs-server] obs-signd has no requires to useful gpg implementation Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: adrian@novell.com ReportedBy: dominique.leuenberger@tmf-group.com QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Community User Introduction: moved my OBS server from OSS 10.2 to 11.1, got it back up (apparently by now). Problem faced: obs-signd installs perfectly (no missing dependencies), but it's not functional. The reason it the shipped gpg in openSUSE 11.1 does not support --files-are-digests (error message appears whenever a sign request is issued). In order to 'fix' it for me, I downloaded gpg rpms from opeSUSE 10.2 and installed the binary gpg as obsgpg, changing signd to use this implementation. If with gpg2 the option really vanished (sad), then I'd suggest for the obs-signd package at least to provide a gpg version that supports the parameter as requested, as otherwise the package renders rather useless (or have a Requires: to a virtual provides, like gpg-digests and have packages that would provide this feature also provide it. But still, a package needs to be provided and for security reason I don't think this should become the 'default gpg' on the system, if it's not based on gpg2. That's why I renamed my binary to obsgpg.) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
