whats about Case 3:
what, if i want to use both (kde3 AND kde4) and have both installed?
until now (opensuse11.0), this was no problem.
will this be a problem now?
i think the packages mutually exclude each other.
so do i have to decide which version of kde works with bluetooth, and which
not?

Maybe a short summary, because some comments sound a little confusing.
Case 1:
----------------
If you work on a system > openSUSE 11.0 and you want to use KDE3 (for whatever
reason) than you have to downgrade your bluez package and use the latest 3.x
version (bluez-utils 3.36 and bluez-libs 3.36).
Case 2:
---------------------
If you are using KDE4 you can use the latest kdebluetooth4 package in
combination with the latest bluez4 package.
