[Bug 466305] New: lbuild: need local configuration files
- From: bugzilla_noreply@xxxxxxxxxx
- Date: Thu, 15 Jan 2009 01:20:00 -0700 (MST)
- Message-id: <bug-466305-21960@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/>
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=466305
Summary: lbuild: need local configuration files
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.1
Version: RC 2
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: Enhancement
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Development
AssignedTo: pth@xxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: jengelh@xxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx
Found By: ---
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5)
Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-1.1 Firefox/3.0.5
It would be nice if lbuild could read local files for baselibs and the
distconfig, which are not overwritten on rpm -Uhv, i.e.:
/etc/lbuild/baselibs.local.conf for an extension of
/usr/lib/lbuild/baselibs.conf
/etc/lbuild/configs/sl11.1.conf for an extension of
/usr/lib/lbuild/configs/sl11.1.conf
In baselibs I usually add the names of the library packages that will be
produced; and in sl11.1.conf I added a few more Support:/Keep:/Required: lines
so that packages with large amounts of files, such as kernel-source and
texlive, are always installed to speed the build up. Having these changes
reverted on every lbuild update (or even making an .rpmsave/.rpmnew file)
requires work that I think is possible to avoid.
Reproducible: Always
(I dislike the new BZ "Enter Bug" form. :)
