- From: bugzilla_noreply@xxxxxxxxxx
- Date: Wed, 14 Jan 2009 15:25:24 -0700 (MST)
- Message-id: <bug-466228-21960@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/>
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=466228
Summary: squashfs kernel and squashfs userland tools do not
match version
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.1
Version: Final
Platform: All
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Other
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: matt@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx
Found By: ---
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US)
AppleWebKit/528.8 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/2.0.156.1 Safari/528.8
Kernel includes squashfs 3.4 patch but the userland tools in the 11.1 repos for
x86 and PowerPC alike only have squashfs-3.2-r2 userland.
Obviously this means we can't take advantage of higher block sizes and the tool
performance is better in the new versions. Also, not having them match is bad
behavior. Bad puppies :D
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
mksquashfs -version
