I thought I could add attachments with my comment, but apparently not. They
got submitted, but my comment did not.
My experience is similar to that of the previous comments. I installed 11.1
with KDE 3.5. I'm surprised that developers have not seen and fixed this issue
already, as it is present from the start and has continued throughout all
modifications. It is easily seen if one does a 'Cancel' from Online Update or
Software Manager, or from many other YaST2 tasks. As I recall, it would also
show up after some operations with the tasks, but I won't swear to it.
Attached is a portion of the y2log that was written when Software Manager was
opened and canceled. Also attached is the extra lines written to
xsession-errors at the same time. (The .xsession-errors file gets extremely
long, with more warnings than are needed and many indication of errors that do
not seem to affect performance -- or maybe they do but I have no idea what to
do about them. Can something be done about reducing or removing many of the
comments, or fixing the bugs?)
