https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=465135 Summary: expert partitioner: bad math while showing partition size Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- expert partitioner: bad math while showing partition size I am aware of the problem of decimal<->binary conversions, and about number representation. BUT... I as a user create partition, I enter textual value, 40.00GB, after committing I expect to see 40.00GB in the list of partitions, but I see 39.99. When I enter 40.01 I get 40.00. I suspect that somebody does double conversion: from decimal textual representation, to binary and then from binary to decimal again. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
