I just looked at the Hardware-Information in Yast2, and there are 2 Monitors
listed, however both are the same.
Just a thought: Might it be the case that the ddc-lines are shared between the
DVI-D and the VGA port and so the driver tries to enable both screens but then
detects that there is no LCD connected on the DVI-D port?

However:
The setup worked well with Suse 9.2 and I can't think of such problems when I
did an experimental install of OpenSuse 10.2 / 10.3 (I don't know for sure) on
the box.
