https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=464804 Summary: It is not possible to run several network interfaces in parallel (at least for me) Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: casualprogrammer@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer After installing from scatch (DVD) all network interfaces are detected OK ( 100MB Intel Pro, 1GB Realtek, wireless 3945 Intel Pro ). While in Windows XP I can use them separately or together, this seems not to be possible with OS 11.1. The actual case is a 1GB Network with attached storage and a wireless Network for users over an DSL Router ( Fritz!Box Fon WLAN 7270 ) Using Windows XP I can access the attached storage thru the Realtek interface and at the same time join my workgroup and access Internet over wireless. I even can bridge the two with a mouseclick, so the other workgroup members can access the attached storage via my workstation. I fail to get this scenario working in OS 11.1. I.e. as soon as any wired interface is active I fail to connect to wireless. What am I missing ? Or is this a real shortcoming ? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
