Which sources are this? Where can I find them? Is the patch the fix?

Sorry for the confusion,

The sources are the mentioned source package from openSUSE 11.1
The diff is _not_ the fix for this problem but for another problem in 0.8.1
(which is now fixed in 0.8.2-1)

For your interest, when X crashes the console is no longer usable, only reboot
(ctrl-alt-delete) and ssh login are possible...at least no file system
corruption.

Maybe it's easiest to upgrade the package from 0.8.1-5 to 0.8.2-1.
