https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=462268 Summary: mouse not working Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: derekmclean@madasafish.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Community User I sent a message about this a few days ago. It would be good to know if anybody is trying to address the problem. I am new to Suse and I would like to try and master it, but something like this could put me off persevering. Some help would be appreciated. Acknowledgement would be a start. Suse 10.3 works OK, but when I install 11.1 my mouse stops working. I have tried it in two PCs, with the same result. To start with, an 'Upgrade' install seemed to work, but after a while that gave trouble too. I've had to go back to 10.3 in both PCs. I really want to install OpenOffice 3. It may be possible to do that with 10.3, but clearly a newer OS at the same time would be better, if it works. I am not sure about the hardware question, by the way. It may be i386, but I seem to recall seeing 586 somewhere. It probably won't matter to this issue, except that it should illustrate my lack of fundamental understanding of how such things work. In short, I am an enthusiastic novice, having partially mastered only a few Microsoft Office programs. I'll repeat my email address, in case it didn't get logged in your system. It's derekmclean@madasafish.com . Thanks in anticipation.
