I'm using gnome bluetooth within a kde4 session and I can browse files on my
phone perfectly fine. For those that can't get this setup to work, do you have
nautilus installed? My installed packages are listed in comment 29 - I don't

yes, i have nautilus installed.
but none of the additional protocols work.
if i click on the computer icon in nautilus it also says "»computer«-places
can not be used."
so only the file-protocol can be used.
and that seems to be the problem why i can't use obex/bluetooth with nautilus
in KDE.

have either gnome or kde3 base packages installed either, just the nautilus
dependencies. It's a workaround, yes, but it works!

i have the same packages (with "blue" in their name) installed as you.

I'm starting bluetooth-applet from the command line. The bluetooth icon
appears
in my status bar when my bluetooth radio is on and I can not only setup a new

yes, it happens the same with me.

device, I can send and browse files.

that does not work.
only in gnome-session.
strange.
