https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461880 Summary: 2nd resume with activated wifi fails Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: zoz@novell.com ReportedBy: exmons@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User I have an annoying problem that already appeared with 11.0, I hoped the best and waited for 11.1, but this problem is still there. When I suspend the first time, the resume works without problems. The second suspend works also well, but the resume causes the system to become unstable. As I found out so far, it has to do with NetworkManager. When I shut it down before suspend with "rcnetwork stop" everything works well, but when I restart the wifi with "rcnetwork start" after the second resume (or do the second resume without having disabled wifi) the following happens: while logging into the wifi-network the networkmanager hangs, in the system status window there is a new process "events/1" that uses one complete core of my dualcore processor and the processes "NetworkManager", "irqbalance" and "wpa_supplicant" are marked as inactive (screenshot: http://pics.tshw.de/12299520568f815.png). Sometimes (approx. 1 out of 3 times) also the keyboard refuses to work, I just can use the mouse. The only solution is a hard reboot, the system doesn't even shutdown anymore.
