https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461615 Summary: No mounting of mobile devices for normal users on opensuse 11.1 Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: zoz@novell.com ReportedBy: franz@dr-nachbar.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User Maybe in accordance to this bug report https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461322 I'd like to state that mounting of mobile devices on opensuse 11.1 seems to be a basic major (permission) problem. If I add an usb-stick, the device is recognized as e.g. /dev/sdd1 and mounted on /media/disk-4, however, simultaneously the notice "The file or the folder doesn't exist" appears, and /media/disk-4 neither is readable nor writable. Changing to root displays an expectable result: The stick can be read and written. I think this "misbehaviour" is due to corrupted permissions and rights the more as the abovementioned bug report 461322 deals probably with a similar issue. A solution for this is of major interst because use of removable devices and also multimedia devices is routine on every desktop today. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
