attempting to use 3D apps on Intel X3100
Product: openSUSE 11.1
Version: Final
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: Critical
Priority: P5 - None

On my laptop with Intel X3100 graphics running OpenSUSE 11.1 installed from
Gold Master i586 DVD, attempting to use 3D applications ( Google Earth, KWin
KDE 4 3D ) can cause the screen to completely freeze. All keyboard and mouse
input is totally frozen.

Only method of recovery is pressing power button so that the system shuts down,
or connecting as root via SSH and performing a remote reboot ( shutdown -r now
)

Installed KDE 4.1 desktop. Attaching glxinfo -v and lspci -vv
