...
Maybe Keyboard.ycp somehow triggers writing the faulty xorg.conf? Jiri?
Your snippet is from the run of 'y2base' 'keyboard' '-S' '(set)' '(layout=german)'', not from the update run. And in this case you can see the line "Keyboard.ycp:1141 Not setting X keyboard due to text mode" The y2log-1 contains some more interesting Keyboard.ycp calls : 2008-11-28 06:18:26 <1> d91.suse.de(3810) [YCP] Keyboard.ycp:1147 Setting X11 keyboard: /usr/bin/setxkbmap -variant nodeadkeys -layout de -model microsoftpro 2008-11-28 06:18:26 <1> d91.suse.de(3810) [YCP] Keyboard.ycp:1153 calling xset to fix autorepeat problem: xset r rate 660 25 There's nothing wrong with these calls, IMO. If they break the X config, there's a bug inside them. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
