I installed the 11.1 RC1 to my notebook and the default network handling is by
NetworkManager in this case. However, eth0 got an IPV4 address but nothing else
has happened: it could not contact to the outer world, even not by pinging
known IP-addresses and there was no name resolution at all (not in the internal
network). The cure was to switch to ifup, where the stuff could get both a name
server and a gateway address from the very same DHCP server, so with ifup the
network works perfectly - as it did before with 11.1 beta 5.
