https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=450540 Summary: pulseaudio player burning 36% processor when using firefox Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: RC 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mhorsley@vqlive.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User Hi testing RC1 today; i've just tried looking at the CNN money web-site, (money.cnn.com) using firefox. the home page loaded and then started to play the video clip on the sites home page. the video looked like it was running at double speed. looking at the gnome system monitor, it showed the pulse audio player running at 36% processor. firefox was running at about 40%. the system is a core duo at 1.6ghz with 2GB of RAM. SUSE 11.1 is running in a VM with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of diskspace. I'm using VMWARE workstation 6.0.3 to host the VM. The host OS is XP. my general observation about RC1 is that it looks great but it seems to be running slow. regards Mike -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
