--- Comment #16 from Herbert Graeber 2008-11-30 15:11:18 MST ---
The problem persits with openSUSE 11.1 RC1.
Meanhwile I have tranmsfered a larger data amount (a DVD image of openSUSE 11.1
i586, 4.3GB) via netcat and check it with md5sum (using apipe on the EEEPC),
and got different a different sum on both sides. Making further tries, the sum
is different each time, sometimes the right one.
So there are following sources for my problems left: CPU, memory (no problems
with memcheck), the nic or the ATL1e driver. The source of the data can be
outruled, I have tried several machines for sending the data.
So it is no installation problem, but a Hardware or driver problem.
Changed the summary to "Data corruption transfering data via ATL1e nic".
