[Bug 450198] New: kde updater is acting strange
- From: bugzilla_noreply@xxxxxxxxxx
- Date: Fri, 28 Nov 2008 22:22:32 -0700 (MST)
- Message-id: <bug-450198-21960@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/>
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=450198
Summary: kde updater is acting strange
Product: openSUSE 11.1
Version: RC 1
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Update Problems
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: felipe.alvarez@xxxxxxxxx
QAContact: jsrain@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: Beta-Customer
When I first installed kDE4-liveCD on virtualbox 2.0.6 (from obs) (HOST
opensuse 11.0), and rebooted into my desktop, it told me to setup some update
repos. That kept complaining about no repositories found. I proceeded to add
the update repo manually.
When I rebooted (after doing kernel update, et al) it told me there were more
updates. I pressed "more info" and typed in 'root' password. It said that
"user does not have permissions for packagekit" or something similar. It
presents a button for me to open YaST and run the updates manually.
