Hello, I have a USB DVB terrestrial adapter that is using em28xx chipset.
I found that this card is supported by an enhancement of the video4linux
packages that you can find here:
http://mcentral.de/hg/~mrec/v4l-dvb-experimental

as of November 2008, SUMMARY procedure to enable support with opensuse is to
install:

gcc
kernel-source

download the cvs of v4l-dvb-experimental
compile the "extension"
install the "extension" with make install

unload the em28xx module (that is the version included with opensuse without
dvb support)

load the em28xx_dvb module and dependancies.
Attention: you have to select the correct device as option of em28xx_dvb module
