OK, I downloaded and burned 11.1 RC 1 x86_64 DVD. It freaking works. Fresh
install went flawlessly. Oddly there isn't a 'Media Check' option in the
startup menu. Running 'mediacheck=1' does work. Seems this bug is fixed.
