The audio CD won't work as analog input, likely, as most laptops don't have a
cable from the DVD-ROM drive.
In windows, it does work, so there should be a cable. Or does windows extract
the audio data? No Audio CD around to test at the moment, though, and that's
definitely a minor point.

The mic input is more interesting topic.

I guessed Studio 1537 as dell as -dmic variant. If it doesn't work, let me
know, and try other model options.
It does work, without any options. So the guess was right, at least for my
notebook.
