https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=447243 Summary: The system cannot be shut down by an ordinary user Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta 5 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mgyhardsoft@freestart.hu QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- When I choose to shut down the machine it asks for the root password. Someties (e.g. for servers) it can be a good thing, however, I definitely don't want - to give the root password to my wife - or to let her user administrative privileges - or every time assist her when she wants to shut down her machine. Expected behavior: let an ordinary user be able to shut down the machine by default. Asking the root password can be an extra configurable possibility. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
