When i start opensuse directly after restarting from Windows the battery is visible. In ubuntu, i could reproduce the bug about half the time, i have installed opensuse only an hour or so ago, and so far the battery went missing every time, except when restarted from win. it appears that the latest kernel disables acpi polling mode, which was so far the only reliable way to get correct battery reading for this machine. However, the interrupt mode appears to sometimes work correctly and sometimes not at all - as opposed to previous situation, where the interrupt mode would work all the time, but with lots of failures and quirks. See also bug 334005. more details can be found in launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi/+bug/147560 bugfix that caused this (in ubuntu it's a regression, not sure about opensuse) : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi/+bug/270017 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
