[Bug 304995] splashy image not fullscreen or screwed-up while suspending

i have spent some time on this and it appears to be a directfb issue.
downgrading to DirectFB-1.1.1-48.1 (from opensuse 11, built from src.rpm) fixed
the problem for me.
so nothing to fiddle in /etc/fb.modes or not a splashy issue - the problem
seems to be introduced by DirectFB-1.2.3
