Seems x is locked up doing something (100% cpu) but is still well and alive. It just needs around a minute to come back. But this exceeds kdm's timeout of 15 seconds. So I changed the default (ServerTimeout=60 /usr/share/kde4/config/kdm/kdmrc:476) and now kdm (re)starts again. Attaching my successful restart kdm.log and Xorg.0.log. The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports:
Warning: Multiple names for keycode 227 Using <MENU>, ignoring <I63> Warning: Key name <MENU> assigned to multiple keys Using 227, ignoring 117 Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server
Occurs before x goes 100% cpu though. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
