This happens on my t61p thinkpad running latest factory too, with or without the splash or a vga mode set boot params. Machine is not frozen, x is just locked up (with 100% cpu). X can be killed via kill -9 and console will still be ok. X starts just fine the first time, the second, it switches to vt7 or whatever and then the screen freezes with the cursor at the upper left part of the screen not blinking (x hasn't even drawn anything yet?). sysrq+r doesn't break x's hold on the console nor does ctrl+alt+bs kill it, I had to ssh in to do anything. I can remove and reload the nvidia driver to no effect also. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
