https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=439439 Summary: boot.dmraid doesn't active partition inside the fake raid Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta 3 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: xwhu@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: cmeng@novell.com Found By: --- During installation, the YaST partitioner forced user to create partitions inside the fake raid device. And then, after the first reboot, it complains about not finding "xxxxx-part1". There are 2 problems with current implementation. 1. boot.dmraid doesn't active partitions inside the fake raid on purpose (use -p on start) 2. If activated by dmraid, the partition will be named as xxxxp1, not xxxx-part1. Even if we postpone the job to kpartx, the name will be xxxx1 instead of xxxx-part1. So YaST needs changing too. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
