Great, works fine now!
% dmesg | grep "Fixing"
Fixing up Sony Vaio VGX report descriptor
Mouse events are now on /dev/input/event1 and no longer on /dev/input/event2.
But what's even better is that they are now forwarded to /dev/input/mouse0 and
to /dev/input/mice, so I no longer have to use a weird xorg.conf section like
this:
Section "InputDevice"
Driver "evdev"
Identifier "Mouse[1]"
Option "Buttons" "9"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/event2"
Option "Name" "Sony RF Receiver"
Option "Protocol" "explorerps/2"
Option "Vendor" "Sysp"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
But a normal, Sax2-generated mouse device section:
Section "InputDevice"
Driver "mouse"
Identifier "Mouse[1]"
Option "Buttons" "9"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Name" "Sony RF Receiver"
Option "Protocol" "explorerps/2"
Option "Vendor" "Sysp"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
I'd declard this issue FIXED.
Thanks a lot!
