https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=436429 Summary: Issues with Switch User option in Logout Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Usability AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bputtali@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: ---
Click Logout in Computer menu It gives you two options - logout and switch user Select Switch User It throws a window with list of users and two buttons 'cancel' and 'switch user' Select a user in the list and click 'switch user' Current Behavior - It takes you to the normal login screen, wherein you have to enter the username again. Expected Behavior - Since you have already selected user, it should take you directly to password screen.
Also, root is not listed in the list.(for security?) So when there is no user and you want to shift to root, then you can not as the window is empty and 'switch user' won't work. If decided that we will not include root, then on clicking switch user from logout button it should throw a message that 'there are no other users' instead of throwing a empty window. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
