https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=436378 Summary: testutf8 sometimes hangs hard in X terminals Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: matthias.andree@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I'm using openSUSE 11.0 i686 (AMD Athlon XP actually) with kbd-1.12-187.1 installed. When running "sudo su - amanda" from a konsole or gnome-terminal (didn't try others), /bin/testutf8 is run as part of the initialization process, and sometimes locks up, blocking the login process, and keyboard signals such as ^C and ^Z show no effect. I can get rid of the hung process and continue the login by running "sudo killall -9 testutf8" (the -9 is necessary here) in a separate console. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
