https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=436352 Summary: ssh pops up a dialog to unlock private key, but requests password at terminal Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Ulrich.Windl@rz.uni-regensburg.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- ssh, when being used interactively from a terminal inside an X session has a bad feature (new in openSUSE 11.0): When there is a key pair for the current user, ssh pops up a dialog to ask for a password to unlock the private key. That happens twice here. If I press "Deny" (also twice, because I'll have to use the password), the password is queried at the text terminal where ssh was started. That is bad: If I work at the command line, I expect to supply input at the command line. Despite of that, all passwords should be queried from one location. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
