New notebook asus m51ta (puma platform) does not boot corectly... 
The display will go black shortly after load kernel from installation dvd.

 it can start with acpi=off parameter

all distribution i have tried heve the same problem ... acpi is no usuable with
this notebook

there is link to ubuntu launchpad with tihs bug ...
