This is for the future, when upgrade will be up to three kernel packages? Then the last installed part of kernel packages will have to do postin script.
This must be done now, because in simplier case if you install base, normal and extra package and then remove extra, then extra cannot call post-uninstall script for bootloader (It looks like not this is done as during test after uninstall bootloader menu is correct). And one note which I find during testing.
