I've been having grief with pmap in 11.0 too, but this seems pretty sad:

$ pmap 9405
9405: evolution-data-
START       SIZE     RSS     PSS   DIRTY PERM MAPPING
08048000     20K     20K     20K      0K r-xp
/usr/lib/evolution-data-server/evolution-data-server-2.24
failed to parse /proc/9405/smaps

or for something simpler:

$ pmap 11354
11354: xclock
START       SIZE     RSS     PSS   DIRTY PERM MAPPING
08048000     32K     32K     32K      0K r-xp /usr/bin/xclock
failed to parse /proc/11354/smaps

hmm.
