[Bug 428223] Logging into Gnome, Metacity does not load

At what point during the initial login does it try to launch a window manager,
and where is the default window manager option stored? Well, I guess another
question would be why I can't even activate Compiz manually. I suppose Compiz
was set the my default, so if I could at least change that, that would fix
something.
