There's even references in the help file: /usr/share/doc/packages/bluez-utils/README.keyboard+mouse about how to use hidd to connect input devices. Why was hidd disabled? Is there some other method I should be using? (Note, I'm using gnome so I'm not following the instructions using kinputwizard. But, GNOME:Community has an updated bluez-gnome 0.14 which seems to allow connecting to devices.
