https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=419565 Summary: USB scanner fails with kernel 2.6.25 Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jos.baudrez@telenet.be QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer Created an attachment (id=234979) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=234979) tar.gzip file of both logfiles I use a pixma MP610 all-in-one printer-scanner. Printer AND scanner do work with kernel 2.6.24, but with kernel 2.6.25 the scanner fails. Attached you'll find a dump of the output with debug options on (as suggested by nicolos on: http://mp610.blogspot.com/2008/04/give-your-scanner-new-freshly-sane.html) of a scanimage -T command, performed as root. I also attach a similar output-file under 2.6.24-kernel (with a big part of the succesfull scan removed). Could you pls help, because I need my scanner badly :-( ! I do still have both kernels on my machine, so I am able (and willing ;-) ) to perform some further investigations.
