This isn't an EXA v. XAA issue any more. With XAA as default, there is still a regression: the yellow color cast/oversaturation in all video (movies, television, etc.) playback as described. I can go back to original ship level of the driver if you like. Whatever you did in the latest iteration, you made some other change when you returned to XAA that is causing this problem. So yes, this is a regression (the "at least one fix for Xvideo playback" evidently).
