+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #417845 +++

I am experiencing multiple issues with openSUSE 11.0 that I do not experience
with openSUSE 10.3 that may be interrelated. Issues originally were combined
in bug #408728

4) System does not switch between pointing devices when PS2 mouse is
plugged/unplugged. With openSUSE 10.3 I could boot with a PS2 mouse, then when
I unplugged the mouse the onboard touch pad would become operational, and vice
versa. With openSUSE 11.0 I cannot switch from one pointing device to the
other.

System:
HP Pavilion ze4200 (Linux logs report ze4400)
AMD Athlon Mobile 2400+
Display Device: ATI RS100 4336
KDE 3

I get the same results whether using kernel 2.6.25.11-0.1-pae, 2.6.25.9-0.2-pae
or
2.6.25.5-1.1-pae.
