No it works fine (except some known bootloader problems) with Alpha1. When 2nd
stage finish, you're in running system and network devices are up/down
according your configuration (rcnetwork status). Attach <networking> section
and content of /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-* please.

Decreased serverity to Major
