https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=416106 Summary: knetworkmanager fogets wifi settings Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: szilardandras@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User 1. Setting up the wifi connection in Knetworkmanager in Yast seems to have no effect. 2. Using the green globe in the system tray works a little bit. I could connect once but never again! That time the speed was fine and I haven't experienced losing connectivity (which happens randomly in 10.3). It ran fine for about 13 hours straight. Then I lost connectivity. (My other wifi adapter hooked up to another PC running windows, different brand and model lost connection at the same time). My ISP's APs "reset" every now end then. When that happens I can reconnect after a few seconds in windows. So the other PC reconnected fine. I tried reconnecting but nothing happened. I deleted that connection and created a new one. After setting up my connection Wpa enterprise, peap mschapv2, IP, I hit "save and connect". All that seems to do is closing the menu, but it doesn't connect. Clicking the now existent connection doesn't help either. It doesn't even try to connect most of the time. Editing the connection shows that Knetworkmanager remembers every setting: wpa, passwords, IP, EXCEPT mschapv2. It's possible that this is the reason why it can't connect. Cable connections work fine 'though. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
