For example gnome-system-monitor freezes the system for ca. 2-5 secs whereas firefox freezes for 15 sec on certain java-script pages. This is reproducable. The /var/log/Xorg.0.log is full of: tossed event which came in late mieqEnequeue: out-of-order valuator event; dropping. which correlates perfectly with the freezes. I have an updated openSuse 11.0 installation as of 8/8/8 (there were nvidia/X11 upgrades today which didn't change anything). gu@hgx:~> X -version This is a pre-release version of the X server from The X.Org Foundation.
