https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=415268 Summary: A screen resolution of 1024x600 and GDM don't get along. Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bjohnson@blakeanthonyjohnson.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- When GDM is loading on my EEE PC 1000, the mouse jumps from the middle of the screen, down a bit, jumps back, and then jumps down again before GDM fully loads. At this point, some of GDM is off my screen. So, it basically seems to me like it's switching between 1024x600 and 1024x768 a few times before it sticks to one, which happens to be the wrong one. The initial first-time login after logging in to Gnome, it sets the resolution to 1024x768. I had to open Terminal, launch the gnome-control-center, and then change the resolution in there to 1024x600. (I could not see the display information system icon to change it.) Asides from GDM now, everything is working fine. By the way, I'm using the default OpenSUSE 11.0 theme, without the user list.
