CPUFREQ=off
boot param and the machines work fine.

if nohz=off
is passed, the machine freezes when the frequency gets switched up the first
time.

without nohz=off (tickless is on and CPU might get wrongly switched up and
down)
the machine resets itself hard.

IMO we should either try an older kernel or exchange the CPUs as next steps.
