kiwi --createpassword
kiwi --createhash <image-path>
kiwi --list-profiles <image-path>
kiwi --list-xmlinfo <image-path>
kiwi --setup-splash <initrd>
[ --createpassword ]
Create a crypted password hash for use in config.xml

[ --createhash <image-path> ]
Sign your image description with a md5sum

[ -i | --list-profiles <image-path> ]
List the profile names of the image description if any

[ -x | --list-xmlinfo <image-path> ]
List general information about the image description

[ --setup-splash <initrd> ]
Create splash screen from the data inside the initrd
and re-create the initrd with the splash screen attached
to the initrd cpio archive. This enables the kernel
to load the splash screen at boot time. If splashy is used
only a link to the original initrd will be created

[ -d | --destdir <destination-path> ]
Specify destination directory to store the image file(s)
If not specified the the attribute <defaultdestination>
is used. If no destination can be found an error occurs

[ -t | --type <image-type> ]
Specify the output image type to use for this image
The type must exist in the config.xml description
By the default the primary type will be used. If there is
no primary attribute set the first type entry of the
preferences section is the primary type

[ -r | --root <root-path> ]
Setup the physical extend, chroot system below the
given root-path path. If no --root option is given kiwi
will search for the attribute defaultroot in config.xml
If no root directory is known a mktmp directory
will be created and used as root directory

[ --base-root <base-path> ]
Refers to an already prepared root tree. Kiwi will use
this tree to skip the first stage of the prepare step
and run the second stage directly

[ -s | --strip ]
Strip shared objects and executables
makes only sense in combination with --create

[ --add-repo <repo-path> --add-repotype <type> ]
Add the given repository and type for this run of an
image prepare or upgrade process.
Multiple --add-repo/--add-repotype options are possible
The change will not be written to the config.xml file

[ --ignore-repos ]
Ignore all repositories specified so-far, in XML or
otherwise. This option should be used in conjunction
with subsequent calls to --add-repo to specify
repositories at the command-line that override previous

[ --set-repo <repo-path> [ --set-repotype <type> ]]
set the given repository and optional type for the first
repository entry within the config.xml. The change will not
be written to the xml file and is valid for this run of
image prepare or upgrade process.

[ --add-package <package> ]
Add the given package name to the list of image packages
multiple --add-package options are possible. The change
will not be written to the config.xml file

[ --logfile <filename> | terminal ]
Write to the log file `<filename>' instead of
the terminal.

[ --gzip-cmd <cmd> ]
Specify an alternate command to run when compressing boot
and system images. Command must accept gzip options.

[ --force-new-root ]
Force creation of new root directory. If the directory
already exists, it is deleted.

[ --log-port <port-number> ]
Set the log server port. By default port 9000 is used
If multiple kiwi processes runs on one system it's
recommended to set the logging port per process

[ --prebuiltbootimage <directory> ]
search in <directory> for pre-built boot images

a md5sum into the iso header. If the --isocheck option is
